Magnino Bistrot: family history, tradition and Tuscan cuisine
There are places that tell a story even before you sit down to eat. That is how Magnino Bistrot was born: among the timeless alleys of San Gimignano, in 1927, when it all began with a small place that soon became a point of reference for those seeking conviviality, innovation and, above all, authenticity. An important part of the town's history was written here, not only gastronomically but also socially: it was the first restaurant in the town to welcome telegraph, telephone and television, becoming a lively meeting place for locals and travellers.

In 1974the management passed to the Malcuori family, led by “Magnino”, the grandfather of the current owner, Marco Nencini.
He was the one who breathed new life into this place, renovating it without ever forgetting its roots. In those years the Bistrot became a multi-purpose place where eating in San Gimignano meant not only tasting good food, but also tasting the history and soul of the area.
As the years went by, Marco inherited not only the restaurant, but also his grandfather's vision: to transform the bistrot into a modern, welcoming environment with deep ties to the territory.
The typical Tuscan cuisine becomes the common denominator of every gastronomic choice: from fresh handmade pasta to selected salami, from local wine to artisan bread, everything smells of home and truth.

In 2009 the artisan ice cream shop was born, and in 2014 the love for coffee led Marco to become a reference point for coffee specialities
Creating an exclusive collaboration with "Le Piantagioni del Caffè" and bringing a unique coffee proposal to San Gimignano.
- 2016 -
The 2016 marks the final turning point, when the sisters Martina and Monica join forces, and an extensive renovation, a panoramic outdoor terrace and a carefully trained staff finally transform the place into a contemporary bistro, where quality is king at every moment of the day, from breakfast to dinner.
But the beating heart remains the same: to offer an authentic experience made of genuine ingredients, sincere gestures and dishes that speak the language of typical Tuscan cuisine.
